Official letter 224/CT-CS about electronic invoices:

Based on the regulations mentioned above, in principle, invoices are issued in consecutive order from smallest to largest number within the same invoice symbol and invoice form number symbol. The electronic invoice system processes invoices according to the above regulations; for each seller (with one taxpayer identification number), only one invoice with the same invoice symbol and invoice form number symbol exists.
